Meet the Team
At MC’s we pride ourselves on our team. Many of the team have over twenty years experience with us and the average length of service currently at seven years, you will realise that the level of service you will enjoy when visiting the store is one of authority and of a quality that will make you return time and time again. Customers become personal friends of the staff – and regard them as confidentes. You can only get that level of comfort by trusting opinion. That’s what we are here for.  The team of buyers each work on the shop floor – to ensure that they are listening to what you want – and training all the staff in the labels and looks that we have bought for the season. The total years service for this team is in excess of 100 years! Long enough to know what they are doing!
 Lindsay, our store manageress has come from managing Monsoon on Hampstead High street and has a very strong retail background with Arcadia before moving North. She believes passionaltely in customer service. We all do.
We have won national awards for our customer service – and we take that accolade very seriously. Particularly when selecting an outfit for a special occasion – you want to know that you will be looking your very best. We want that too. Our workroom is exceptional. Each of these trained tailoresses work tirelessly to ensure that any alterations you have done to your garments come back to you in perfect condition. One of the benefits of being a Maureen Cookson loyalty cardholder is to ensure you enjoy these benefits for free. A fantastic reason in itself to travel to Whalley. Both floors function in unity – with all the staff working in all areas of the store. This is vital to ensure you are brought pieces from all around the store to ensure you get the most out of your visit. As the wonderful management handbook says…. There is no “I” in the word “team”. That’s how we work. We are all here for you.
